The folks at Gigi’s begin work at a new, bigger facility in Tinley Park

Gigi’s is a national non-profit network that is changing the way the world views Down syndrome. The new facility will allow Gigi’s Tinley Park to expand its programs and services.

Serving children and adults of all ages, Playhouses offer 30 educational and therapeutic programs. All programs aim to maximize self-confidence and empower individuals to achieve their greatest potential.

GiGi’s relies on donations and holds fundraising events, such as a 5K run, and none of the approximately 250 families who participate in tutoring programs or other services is charged a fee. While most of the families live in the south and southwest suburbs, the Playhouse has participants from Chicago’s Southwest Side, Plainfield, Manteno and northwest Indiana.

IBS is proud to be part of the dedicated team of local contractors, businesses and volunteers are working together to renovate a 3500-square-foot space in the Park Center Plaza at 159th and Harlem Ave.
